Why this matters

    Fatigue is a common but poorly understood occurrence in stroke survivors. A sensory attenuation model of post-stroke fatigue has been previously proposed by the authors, wherein worsened sensory attenuation following stroke leads to a perception of higher effort and causing higher fatigue. However, there is currently no research examining the presence of altered effort perception in stroke survivors.
