Investigating AED efficacy in glioma patients with epilepsy

Specialists have reported new findings on the efficacy of anti-epileptic drugs (AEDs) in patients with glioma.

Epileptic seizures occur frequently in glioma patients, as a presenting symptom or during the course of the disease. Noting that comprehensive data on the efficacy of AED treatment in these patients was lacking, researchers from the Haaglanden Medisch Centrum, The Hague, and Leiden University Medical Center, in Leiden, the Netherlands, conducted a systematic evidence review and analysis.
