New data show how mobile stroke units (MSUs) can help reduce disability

New findings presented at ISC 2021 show that using mobile stroke units (MSUs) for faster stroke management leads to reduced disability measured at 90 days after stroke onset, compared to standard management (SM) provided by the emergency medical services (EMS).

Dr James Grotta and colleagues from Texas Medical Center at the University of Texas, in Houston, USA, compared the benefits of MSUs and SM in patients eligible for tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) administration by a vascular neurologist.
